À La Carte Wedding Flowers: An Affordable Middle Ground Between DIY and Full Service

When Zack and I got married in 2023, we chose to DIY our own wedding flowers because spending a five thousand-plus dollars on florals just wasn’t in the cards for us. We know a lot of couples are in the same position. You want beautiful, professional-looking flowers for your wedding, but you don’t want to spend your wedding budget on a full-service florist. At the same time, you might not love the idea of spending the night before your wedding DIYing and trying to arrange everything yourself, hoping it comes out okay.

That’s exactly why we offer à la carte wedding flowers at Solstice Blooms. Our à la carte service is a middle ground between DIY flowers and traditional full-service floristry. You choose the arrangements you need, share your general color palette, and we take care of harvesting, designing, arranging, and packing everything for pickup the day before your wedding. You get professionally designed flowers without the added costs of delivery, setup, teardown, and all-day labor. Plus, you can enjoy the day before your wedding instead of turning it into a flower-arranging marathon.

À la carte means you pick the pieces you want off our list, without any minimums or packages where you might not actually need everything. We have prices (and even a calculator) up front on our website so you can see your actual costs before even contacting us. This was important for m e to include because I remember the stress and chaos of filling out so many wedding inquiries with no clue what the pricing would end up like, and for the couple choosing à la carte, that’s the last thing you need. We keep our pricing upfront so you can plan your order around your budget without wondering what the final bill will look like.

At Solstice Blooms, we grow seasonal flowers right here in York, Pennsylvania. and use them for your wedding arrangements. Working with your color palette instead of requesting specific flower varieties allows us to use what’s looking its best on the farm around your wedding date while still bringing your wedding day vision to life. We might be a bit biased, but locally grown flowers make a huge difference in floral arrangements, giving you more options for texture and movements that you can’t get shipped in from halfway across the world. Local flowers also connect you to the seasonality of flowers more, and mark your wedding day as a specific moment in time. We of course have the seasonal staples like peonies, ranunculus, and dahlias.
